You guys have done really well here, and I commend you for garnering the most attention out of any game in this jam. The art was definitely the most standout part of this game to me, and I want the artist to know that their art is super cute and I loved it! I'll say the gameplay was a little rough around the edges in my experience, but the core concept was good and I liked picking up new abilities throughout the game. If I had to pick one thing that I'd recommend working on, it would be the level design, as some of the gameplay felt easy and fun while other parts of gameplay felt difficult and frustrating. I'd recommend working on the difficulty curve and focus on making gameplay sections fun instead of precise. Still, you've made a great game here, and I wish you guys the best in the future!
Great Work. Art Style, Animation, Mechanics, and Level Designer definitely did super well. I was getting Super Mario Bros and BattleBlock Theater vibes while playing this. It was so much fun. Great Game. Hope you guys make it big one day!.
Amazing work! 5 stars to the audio, the Adventure log, and the polish on this jam page! Art felt a bit inconsistent with a ton of amazing assets full of heart and then... placeholder square sprites for the spikes? Even still, this game is super impressive in a one-month timeline and the team should feel super proud!
Hello Jace,
Thank you for your kind words! The hazards are actually drawn, too, but were unfortunately implemented too small-scale to see. Here's the full art if you want to take a look! Thematically, the "spikes" were meant to be scrap metal from the fires, as scrap can hold traces of flammable materials. It also ties in with the presence of machines, too.
Thank you for playing Orbyter!
I would wrather have wasd for movement, but i like the old game style of using the arrow keys.
I really like the artwork on the characters, and the background. However, the key binds were a little weird to use. Overall, Good game, but it could have used some more time overall.
I love the ability to glide and the wall jumping, I'm excited to see more!!
I like it, its genuinely cute. keep it up i wanna see where this goes
I do like the flying around, could make for a fun speed running tactic <3
Lots of potential! Keep it up
Sounds like a great game!
